What is the User Management area

What can you do in the User Management area?

The User Management area gives admins a dedicated space to manage users and their access rights efficiently. It’s a key tool for ensuring that everyone can log in to the intranet and access the right content and features.

Here’s what you can do:

  • View all users with access to ahead, whether they come from an external identity provider (like Microsoft Entra ID) or are ahead ID users created manually.
  • Manage roles and permissions to control what each user can see or do within the intranet.
  • Organize users into groups to simplify role assignment and create target audiences.

  • Create ahead ID users with a simple login experience for people who don’t rely on external ID providers.


Accessing the User Management area

Only users with the User Management permission (typically admins or intranet owners) can access this area. To open it:

  1. Click your profile icon in the top-right corner.

  2. Select User Management from the dropdown menu.

💡 Note: The User Management area is only available on large screens. It won’t open on mobile devices.
