In this article, we'll provide insights into how our content moderation team reviews reported comments, ensuring that our platform remains a safe and respectful space for all users. Content moderators play a crucial role in maintaining community standards and addressing user concerns.
Review reported comments, story posts, and community posts
Step 1: Access the reporting queue/interface:
Content moderators have access to a reporting queue that contains all reported comments.
Step 2: Review the reported comment
Moderation team will find all reported content under open requests. Moderators review reported content by clicking button ‘Review’.
Step 3: Determine appropriate action
The action opens modal with details of reported content. Depending on the severity and nature of the violation, moderators decide on an appropriate course of action - this can be by either allowing or deleting the reported content.
Content moderators can optionally leave a comment explaining the reason for their decision.
Step 4: Review is closed
Once reported content is reviewed it is moved to closed requests. Closed request is stored for 6 months (after this period the request is automatically deleted).
By following these steps, the content moderation team plays an important role in maintaining a respectful and secure community. This helps create a positive experience for all users.
