How to enable creation of ahead ID users

Activate this optional feature to create and manage users directly in ahead (no external ID provider needed).

Important Note for Customers with Custom Domains

Activating ahead ID Users may impact SSO capabilities on your tenant if you're using a custom domain to access ahead. If unsure, talk to your Customer Success Manager by submitting a support ticket at: support@aheadintranet.com

Turning the feature on

To start creating ahead ID users—users managed entirely within ahead—you first need to enable the feature in the User Management area:

  1. Click your profile menu in the top-right corner and select User Management.

  2. In the left-hand menu, navigate to Settings > User Management.

  3. Check the box for Enable ahead ID management and click Save.


Once the feature is enabled and at least one ahead ID user is created, it cannot be turned off. You can only disable the feature if no ahead ID users have been created.
